Purchasing a Test Only means that you will only receive the test. You must complete the test that is sent to you; no previous versions (i.e., longer/shorter) of any test will be accepted for CE credit. All tests correlate directly with the approved reading materials for the self-directed CE activity. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure you have the correct reading material to complete the test. X-Ray Lady is not responsible for failure of a test when completing a course without any or incorrect approved reading material. No refunds, exchanges, or store credits are issued after failing all three attempts allowed for the course. Course Description
MR imaging has been demonstrated to have advantages over other imaging modalities; however, it is not without risks. Risks are especially high for patients with implanted medical devices. Patient screening for these is essential, as is the need for safety training for MR staff and other personnel. Initial and ongoing MR imaging safety education for technologists, assistants, and ancillary personnel is essential to perpetuate a culture of safe patient care. This course covers the required structured education in the content category of MR imaging screening and safety. The importance of screening and education of patients, personnel, and non-personnel is covered in extensive detail. To fully recognize the need for MR imaging safety, staff must have a basic understanding of the MR screening and safety protocols, safety risks associated with electromagnetic fields, and management of the MR imaging environment and equipment.
This course is based on the book MRI: Screening and Safety, by Jeana Fleitz, M.Ed., RT(R)(M)(ARRT)™. The book/PDF is 224 pages long and 8.5 x 11 inches in size. This book has 12 pt font and 1.5 line spacing.
The test has 96 multiple choice and true/false questions.
