Michigan Limited Training Program

The purpose of the limited radiography program is to meet the didactic core and positioning requirements for Limited Technologist in the state of Michigan.  Each Limited Technologist will complete all of the core courses listed below in part one.  They will also choose one or more categories in part two depending on which areas they will be working in.  For example, if a technologist is going to be primarily doing chest x-rays they would take all courses in part 1 and then also section 1 (chest) in part 2.

The program consists of competency based self-learning courses that have been approved by the ASRT for continuing education.  Each course includes reading material and a post test.  The technologist will receive one year from purchase date to complete all courses.  You must score a 75% or better on each course in their program to successfully pass the entire program.  Once the technologist has successfully completed their entire program X-Ray Lady Inc. will issue a certificate of completion as outlined by the MI Department of Economic Opportunity.

Please note:  Individuals employed and performing duties as a Limited Technologist must complete a radiography training program by  March 13th, 2027 to be in compliance.  All limited technologists are required to maintain proof of completion of their radiation training program.  Clinicals hands-on work experience in radiography is a requirement, although the state of Michigan has not specified a set number of procedures.  The limited technologist will be responsible to finding a location for clinicals and recording the nature and date of each imaging examination completed.  Documentation is required to meet the Michigan requirements.  Click here for more MI information on these requirements and possible exemptions.
