Mammography Initial Training Package

Interested in becoming a mammographer or getting certified in mammography? You can now get all 40 MQSA required educational hours with the X-Ray Lady! The package includes just four courses that together meet both MQSA and ARRT® educational requirements at once! If you are interested in sitting for the post-primary certification exam administered by the ARRT®, each of these courses is coded to meet the structured education requirements and together contain at least one credit in each content specification area required by the ARRT®.

Our self-study mammography initial training package covers all subjects required by the MQSA:

  • Breast anatomy and physiology
  • Positioning and compression
  • Quality assurance/quality control
  • Digital mammography
  • Imaging women with breast implants
  • Note: In addition to completing 40 hours of education, MQSA requirements state that you must complete 25 hands-on mammography exams under the direct supervision of a qualified instructor. Please see our Mammography Certification Information & Checklist.

We do not recommend any CE course specifically for the purpose of ARRT test prep, nor does the ARRT endorse any specific material for the purpose of studying for any specific test. Purchase and/or completion of this package, or any other test preparation materials regardless of the author, does not guarantee subsequent passing of the registry exam. The ARRT has published the mammography content specifications, which gives a detailed outline of the covered topics and procedures, as guidance for the exam. Registrants are encouraged to consult this outline as well as a variety of sources to adequately prepare for the test. In addition to MQSA requirements, the ARRT has additional requirements to establish eligibility for the exam. Please see our Mammography Certification Information & Checklist.

The Mammography Initial Training Package includes…

  1. Breast Anatomy & Pathology in Mammography (8 CE)
  2. Mammography & Minorities (16 CE)
  3. Digital Mammography the Basics (8 CE)
  4. Breast Implants and Quality Assurance in Mammography (8.5 CE)

The package is available shipped via USPS or as eBooks via email. The courses may be completed in any order, as many at once as desired, and at any time. Please note that if sitting for the ARRT® examination, you have two years from the completion of all eligibility requirements to sit for the examination.
