Course Description
Conventional non-contrast radiography examinations of bones, joints, and soft tissues are among the most common imaging procedures requested. Since conventional radiography images contribute to information concerning pathology and trauma, the medical imaging technologist must control factors that might otherwise distort the image. Such factors include patient cooperation, correct positioning, photographic and geometric factors, and the proper selection of exposure factors. This course provides the technologist with a review of the conventional non-contrast radiography imaging of the appendicular skeleton. Basic information about adjunct imaging modalities such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound (sonography), nuclear medicine, and bone densitometry is also included.
This course is based on the book, Imaging the Extremities 3rd Edition, by Jeana Fleitz, M.Ed., RT(R)(M)(ARRT)™. The book/PDF is 250 pages long and 8.5 x 11 inches in size. This book has 12 pt font and 1.5 line spacing.
The test has 114 multiple choice and true/false questions.
Note: This test is NOT compatible with the 2nd edition of Imaging the Extremities 15.25 CE Book.
