Purchasing a Test Only means that you will only receive the test.You must complete the test that is sent to you; no previous versions (longer or shorter) of any test will be accepted for CE credit. All tests correlate directly with the approved reading materials for the self-directed CE activity. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure you have the correct reading material to complete the test. Course Description
The current state of fluoroscopy examinations has vastly changed from their original use in barium sulfate contrast studies. Today, fluoroscopy procedures include an increasing variety of image examinations that are both diagnostic and therapeutic. Because these procedures are often technically difficult, they can involve total radiation exposure times exceeding an hour or more. This course provides a basic introduction for individuals who have not had formal training in fluoroscopy and radiation management and a review for those who have. The course covers the following major topics: introduction to fluoroscopy, patient interactions, and management, an overview of contrast agents, radiation physics and radiobiology review, measuring fluoroscopy radiation doses, minimizing patient and personnel radiation exposure during fluoroscopy procedures, a review of image production and equipment operation, and image evaluation with quality control.
This course is based on the book Fluoroscopy Safety and the Basics, by Jeana Fleitz, M.Ed., RT(R)(M)(ARRT)™. The book/PDF is 206 pages long and 8.5 x 11 inches in size. This book has 12 pt font and 1.5 line spacing.
The test has 96 multiple choice and true/false questions.
