Course Description
Most imaging professionals have completed an ethics course in their initial primary education and training; however, many advocate that regular on-going conversations about ethics help prepare individuals to recognize ethical situations and to take the right action. The primary purpose of this course is to offer a review of fundamental ethical principles, codes, and rules by which radiologic technologists are expected to follow when faced with situations requiring a decision or action. This course introduces and defines ethics and ethical philosophies, focuses on the ARRT Code of Ethics and Rules of Ethics, and reviews basic laws related to medical imaging and an ethical workplace environment.
This course is based on the book Ethics: A Review for Radiologic Technologists, by Jeana Fleitz, M.Ed., RT(R)(M)(ARRT). The book/PDF is 86 pages long and 6 x 9 inches in size. This book has 12 pt font and 1.5 line spacing.
The test has 26 multiple choice and true/false questions.
