Purchasing a Test Only means that you will only receive the test. All tests correlate directly with the reading materials for the CE course. You must complete the test that is sent to you; no previous versions (i.e., longer/shorter) of any test will be accepted for CE credit. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure you have the correct reading material to complete the test. X-Ray Lady is not responsible for the failure of a test when trying to complete a course without any or incorrect reading material. No refunds, exchanges, or store credits are issued after failing all three attempts allowed for the course.
Course Description
Breast sonography (ultrasound) is a minimally invasive imaging tool that serves as a primary and adjunct examination to clinical examinations and mammography. This course provides information that supports the structured education requirements of sonographers. Qualified sonographers play a key role in the ability to discern breast pathology and to convey this information by producing high quality images and providing information to the interpreting physician. Clinical competence in acquiring diagnostic quality breast images requires the sonographer to constantly update their skills and knowledge to maintain best practices in sonography imaging. This course provides a refresher for the experienced sonographer in important topics, including patient care, basic ultrasound principles and image formation, evaluation and selection of ultrasound images, breast anatomy and physiology, benign and malignant breast pathology, and interventions. Further, this course provides reinforcement of these topics for the novice breast sonographer.
This course is based on the book Breast Sonography: The Basics, by Jeana Fleitz, M.Ed., RT(R)(M)(ARRT)™. The book/PDF is 294 pages long and 8.5 x 11 inches in size. This book has 12 pt font and 1.5 line spacing.
The test has 128 multiple choice and true/false questions.
