Course Description

This X-Ray Lady course covers the development of and current CT technology, mathematical principles and theorems in CT, reconstruction methods and filters, and acquisition geometrics. The chapter discusses artifacts in CT such as beam hardening, scatter, partial volume effect, and other artifacts that degrade image quality. This course also covers spectral CT detection techniques and algorithms.

This course is based chapter 8 Computed Tomography of the book Medical Imaging Systems, by Daniel DeMaio (ISBN: 978032341633-7). The chapter/PDF is 43 pages long.

The test has 24 multiple choice and true/false questions.

This course is only valid for Florida CRT or BMO licensees and will not be renewed. You must submit your test BY 11:59 pm Eastern Time on 01/31/25 with a score of 75% or better to receive credit for the course.
