Course Description
The use of computed tomography (CT) as a diagnostic imaging tool has increased dramatically during the past decade. Due to the explosive application of CT in all aspects of radiology, radiologic technologists are seeking additional training or a review in CT instrumentation, patient care, cross-sectional anatomy, and current information on CT imaging procedures and protocols. This course may serve as either an introduction or as a review of CT physics and instrumentation, contrast agents and injection techniques, as well as radiation dosimetry. The course provides a comprehensive review of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging procedures and protocols for neurology, thoracic, abdominopelvic, and musculoskeletal CT examinations.
This course is based on the book Computed Tomography for Technologists: A Comprehensive Text, 2nd edition, by Lois E. Romans (ISBN: 9781496375858). The book/PDF is 363 pages long and 8.5 x 11 inches in size. Please note: this book has a smaller font size.
The test has 122 multiple choice and true/false questions.
