Email List Subscribers
New in 2015–Longer Sales

Those of you who have been subscribed to our email list for some time now already know that we typically send out a weekly sale on one of our courses. Starting in 2015 you receive less emails from X-Ray Lady.  We have decided to extend our weekly sales to last at least 2 week or more. We hope that will provide additional time for you to take advantage of a sale that may interest you but for whatever reason you could not order due to the  limited time frame of the sale.  Hopefully this change will be more beneficial to you as our customer in not feeling so rushed to not miss out on a deal.

Remember that you can always go in to your account (link found at the bottom of every email) and update your profile and preferences.  We try to honor your preferences by sending you sales and deals that pertain your specific areas of interest.  If you are receiving emails that do not pertain to your preferences and interests you may be signed up in a general email list.  By updating your preferences you can restrict your email to certain imaging modality lists so that you receive only email promotions that you choose.  If you add yourself to the “general” or “all sales & discounts” you will receive emails pertaining to all imaging modalities.

If you would like to update your profile/email preferences at this time scroll to the bottom of this email and click on “Update Profile/Email Address”.  If you have trouble with this option you can always call us at 502-425-0651 and we can update your preferences for you!

The Future of CE
The Buzz

Now that the ARRT has put their Continuing Qualifications Requirements (CQR) into full effect for all R.T.’s receiving certificate and registration in 2011 and thereafter we have to look at what the future of CE holds for everyone.  There has been a lot of buzz going around about the possibility that the ARRT might begin requiring a certain amount of the required 24 CE to be in specific content areas.  An unresolved question is if ARRT makes this change will state licensing boards adopt this requirement?

Currently, the ARRT has no specific guidelines for the content of your required CE other than the course must be approved by a RCEEM and that the CE relates to the R.T.’s area of practice and contributes to their competence and continued knowledge.  Some of the state licensing boards already mandate that a portion of the required CE be from specific content areas. For example, the state of Massachusetts requires that radiographers obtain 2 CE credits in Radiation Safety for renewal of their state certification.  So, it is not as if this move towards “Certificationizing Continuing Education” (as the ASRT labeled it in their latest journal) is really a new idea; but, it will definitely be something different when trying to find CE to fit the needs of the required categories.
One thing you can count on from X-Ray Lady is that we will follow these new trends and will make every effort  to ensure that the CE courses offered by our company will cover  the new ARRT guidelines when they are implemented.  We will also keep you as our customers posted about any new changes that we know about as soon as they come available.

New Website
Update

In our last newsletter we mentioned that we are working on a new website.  As of now it is still in production and we are hoping that we will begin using the new site some time in March this year!  It has been a very exciting time for us getting to build our new website and adding several new details that will benefit not only us but most importantly you as the customer.  Once the site is up and running we will be sending out an email that will explain all the new and unique features.  We hope that your shopping experience with the new site will be smoother and much more explanatory.  Many of the new website features have been added due to your comments and suggestions. We welcome any and all suggestions for improvements or features that you as our most valuable customer would like to see.  You can email us your thoughts or information to xrayladyce@gmail.com.
